The Lake at Barston is now well known for its popular tribute and dinner shows since they were introduced in January 2004. They are held regularly on Friday and Saturday evenings and all over the Christmas period. The acts that we use are all professional performers with lots of experience and are thoroughly checked and recommended by various agents to ensure the highest standards for this kind of event. The wide range of artists can be seen on our date list and one of these evenings would be ideal for any occasion, a casual night out, a celebratory meal for a birthday or anniversary or maybe even a hen night? We accommodate up to 200 people and your table will be set up according to your party size up to 22 people (or multiples of).
All tributes are selected for there suitability for all ages and although not designed to be suitable for children, we do understand that parents may want children to attend, in which case they will be allowed over the age of 14, but parents must be sympathetic to other guests by ensuring that they behave in a suitable manner. Some events can involve provocative dress or lyrics as per the original artist, and some comedy events may be intended for over 18s.
All of our shows include a three course meal and to keep the base price of the tickets to a minimum, we offer a set menu. We have made provision for vegetarians and those on gluten free diets and we have offered some supplementary dishes which are available at an extra charge. If you have any further dietary requirements (for medical reasons) we will try to accommodate these but no other alternatives can be offered due to the large number of people that we are catering for. Please check the menu for the evening before booking to ensure that the choices on offer are suitable for all of your guests
A typical itinerary for the evening would be arrive at 7 - 7.30pm, the meal will be served from 8.00 - 9.30pm and the show will start at about 10pm. Some artists will do a straight 1 hour set while others will do two 45 minute sets, some shows will be a tribute for the first half and general cabaret singing in the second set. The show will be followed by dancing and bar service till 1am (midweek functions 12am). We suggest that you have your travel home arranged in advance and if using a taxi service ask for the Lake at Barston or West Midlands Golf Club (B92 0LB). The dress code for the evening is casual but smart. (Jeans are allowed if smart and clean but no trainers please, caps, torn Jeans or hoodies) Fancy dress is also welcomed. New Years Eve is a slightly more formal dress code, this will be found on the confirmation that you will receive when booking.
Please note that when calling to book a tribute night, you will be asked for full payment, however if it is for a large party, we will accept a deposit of £5pp and full payment will be due one week after the initial booking. Ticket prices do not include a service charge and any gratuities given on the night will be shared equally between all staff, and although not essential would be very much appreciated.
We offer late availability tickets to our database, once you have made a booking you will be added to the list to receive a weekly email offerring any remaining tickets at a reduced price. Tickets sold at full price will be allocated in the room first, with reduced tickets filling up any spaces. They are an excellent way to enjoy a very cheap evening out, but availability is subject to tickets being left a couple of days before the show.
