The Lake at Barston Restaurant is located at the West Midlands Golf Club in Solihull, and is open to the general public.
We serve an English Pub & Grill menu with Burgers, Fish, Breakfast & light options, along with Steaks & Grills. The menu served is the same in the informal Bar & Lounge area, or outside on the lawns, or In the Restaurant we offer traditional waiter service to your table.
We offer home cooked food prepared by our team of professional chefs, using fresh local produce wherever possible, we only serve British meats, fresh fish, free range eggs and fresh vegetables.
We have a variety of rooms available for private dining, social functions, charity fundraisers, birthdays and weddings etc. Please ask for details of hiring a room by calling or emailing us;

Sunday lunch
We still serve our Sunday lunches in the Restaurant every Sunday as well as in the Bar & Lounge. In the Restaurant itself we now serve the meals plated from the kitchen, so you order it at your table and don’t have to go up to the Carvery. The chefs will plate it for you and it will be served to you at the table. This is a more formal style of service, it allows us to present the food on the plate and make sure all components of the plate are served nice and hot.
It also means that we can now serve other menus items in the Restaurant, we can now offer our famous Fish & Chips, Burgers which are always popular and more.
We take bookings from 12pm to 3.30pm, bookings after 3.30pm will be offered the Bar & Restaurant menu (not Sunday lunch).
The Sunday menu varies weekly but we have posted a sample menu below to give you an idea of what is available.
High chairs are available but please book these when booking your table. All tables have a view of the lake due to the 180′ panoramic windows, and the room is flexible enough to book parties of all sizes from 2 to 20 and mulitiples of.
For larger parties of 10 or more guests, we offer a discounted set priced menu based on a 3 course Sunday lunch. This is a choice of 4 starters and Dessrts and a choice of Roast lunches. Please ask about this at the time of booking. We will ask for a deposit on booking with full pre-payment one month in advance of the event.
When taking the 3 course option, you are welcome to bring a celebration cake with you, we will store it suitable, and serve it to you after your meal, and supply plates, cutlery and napkins otherwise we do not allow cakes or customers own food or drink of any kind.
Functions & Conferences
We are able to hold a variety of functions from sporting dinners, to rotary clubs, school proms, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations and much more. If you are planning any occasion, please get in touch with us and we will let you know what we can offer.

Summer 2024 6 page menuOur menu is served in the Bar & Lounge, the Restaurant and outside on the Patio & Lawns which is English and homemade with items ranging from Full English breakfasts, sandwiches and chips, to fresh fish, burgers and steaks.
This menu is available Monday – Saturday and after 3.30pm on Sundays

In the winter we may have a reduced menu and reduced opening times.
